About Yeh Chin(Esther) Wu

Chinese Family Therapist in Connecticut | Mandarin Speaking Therapist

Yeh-Chin (Esther) Wu is a bilingual (Mandarin/English) Psychotherapist  who works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Her clinical focus is on strengthening family relationships, supporting children’s emotional development, and guiding clients through life transitions and personal growth.

Esther has extensive experience in family counseling services, school-based programs, and private practice, with a strong specialization in family therapy. She is particularly passionate about trauma recovery, parent–child relationships, couple dynamics, attachment, and family integration. She also has experience facilitating therapeutic work with men and fathers.

Her practice is culturally responsive, and she works closely with immigrant and multicultural communities. She is especially attuned to the unique experiences of cross-cultural parenting, intergenerational relationships, and cultural adjustment.

Drawing on her background in creative arts therapy, Esther has extensive experience working with children and is highly skilled at engaging them through play, art-making, and developmentally appropriate, creative interventions. This approach helps children feel safe, express emotions, and experience therapy as a natural and supportive process.

Creative Arts Therapy

Now, as a Creative Arts Therapist, I’m passionate about helping others rediscover themselves and heal in ways that feel natural, engaging, and deeply personal.

Therapy isn’t just about talking—it’s about expression, exploration, and transformation. That’s where creativity comes in.

Art has a way of revealing what words sometimes cannot. Through drawing, painting, or other creative forms, we can uncover emotions, process experiences, and find clarity in ways that feel freeing and intuitive.

You don’t need to be an artist—just open to the process. Whether structured or spontaneous, creativity can be a powerful tool for healing, and I love helping clients explore this side of themselves.

I bring a deep sense of creativity and intuition into my work, personalizing each session to fit your unique needs. If you’re drawn to a more creative, dynamic way of healing, working with me could be a great fit. Together, we’ll break free from old patterns, reconnect with your inner self, and build a life that feels not just successful, but genuinely fulfilling.
