Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Accept My Insurance?

We work with most PPO and some POS plans as an out of network provider. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible for either partial or full reimbursement. We recommend you reach out to your insurance company and ask the following questions:

  • Do I have out of network benefit coverage?

  • What is the deductible for out of network?

  • What is the coverage after meeting the deductible?

  • What is the out of pocket maximum amount?

What Are The Benefits of Out of Network Coverage?

  1. The duration of the healing process can vary and is often difficult to predict. Insurance providers may limit the number of therapy sessions covered for in-network clients, potentially hindering the progress and outcomes of treatment.

  2. Insurance coverage can sometimes bring financial relief to the cost of therapy, however, it's important to keep in mind that copayments can still be substantial. Your out of network benefit may offer a more cost-effective solution for your therapy needs.

  3. Choosing a therapist through insurance can be limiting and finding available options can be a challenge. You may have to call multiple therapists from your insurance network to find one with an opening, which can be time-consuming and overwhelming.

Do You Offer In-Person Sessions and Telehealth?

We are able to provide both in person sessions at our office in the Flatiron District and HIPPA compliant Telehealth service to any NY residents.

What Kind of People Do You Work With?

We assist clients who are facing various challenges such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Our expertise includes addressing relationship difficulties, cultural identity concerns, stress management, building self-esteem, and career-related issues. Our approach is culturally sensitive and we strive to offer customized services that take into account each client's unique cultural background and needs.

How Long Do I Need To Be In Therapy?

Our approach is person centered so the decision to resume or terminate will always be the clients decision.

How often do I have to have a session?

Weekly sessions are required initially. Our goal is to provide you with exceptional care. During therapy, you will develop new thought patterns. As with any skill, consistent practice is crucial, especially during the early stages. Research indicates that the most beneficial results are achieved through weekly therapy sessions. Less frequent sessions (bi-weekly) may not yield the same results and we aim to make the most of your time and resources.
