About Carlotta Viero

Beginning therapy often means stepping into uncertainty. It takes courage to reveal parts of ourselves that are tender, especially in a culture that so often prizes endurance over openness. Yet, I see those moments of honesty as the very ground where change begins.

I strive to create an atmosphere where people feel truly witnessed—where their stories, silences, and inner images are honored. Sometimes words can only take us so far and that’s where art, movement, and play can create layered stories of experience that remain hidden beneath the surface.

Creative Arts Therapy

I view creativity as a doorway to our inner landscape—a way to connect with what is hurting, what is resilient, and what is still becoming. Within that space, therapy offers both comfort and the possibility of transformation.

Creativity doesn’t only take place within a piece of paper or a canvas, but the Art of Witnessing ourselves and each other can become a great form of creative expression and exploration. The Art of Witnessing finds its roots in spirituality, as the practice of observing thoughts and feelings without identification; in psychology, where one’s feelings and behaviors are witnessed and validated without judgment; and in art theory, while documenting and testifying events through creative expression (like in, Marina Abramović in The Artist is Present).

Art Therapy does not require previous artistic skills or knowledge, but only openness to the process of expression. My goal in therapy is that of guiding and supporting my clients through their unique and personalized needs.

Working With Me

I approach every client with respect and uniqueness, bringing a strong sense of commitment and intuition. I believe you know what is best for yourself and, instead of imposing my own expectations, I offer guidance through that revelation.

I work primarily with children, teens, and young adults, approaching each person with patience, respect, and curiosity. As a Creative Arts Therapist, I bring art, imagination, and expressive techniques into the process—not to measure artistic ability, but to open new pathways to emotional understanding.

My focus includes supporting those navigating anxiety, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and questions of identity. I am also trained to work within the family system, helping to strengthen communication and foster more supportive connections between its members.

Italian is my first language, and I am fluent in English and Spanish.
