About Alexandria
Hi, I’m Alexandria (she/her), a School Counselor and Mental Health Counselor, born and raised in New York. I’m also Italian American, and a lot of who I am—both personally and professionally—has been shaped by growing up in a culture that values connection, family, emotion, and resilience. At the same time, I understand how easy it is to carry pressure quietly, to “hold it together” on the outside while feeling overwhelmed underneath.
I earned my Master’s degrees in Psychological Counseling and School Counseling from Columbia University, and I’m currently practicing under my New York State Mental Health Counseling Limited Permit as I work toward full licensure.
I work with teens, young adults, and adults who often feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, intrusive thoughts, and self-doubt. Many of my clients are thoughtful, driven, and self-aware—but still feel overwhelmed in their own minds or unsure how to break patterns, especially in relationships or during times of transition.
My Approach
Therapy with me is collaborative and supportive. I show up with curiosity, care, and a genuine investment in helping you understand what you’re experiencing
I use an integrative approach, drawing from CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, but I always tailor the work to you. Some sessions might focus on building concrete coping skills or managing anxiety in the moment, while others might explore deeper patterns, relationships, or the way you see yourself.
Together, we’ll work on:
Understanding and managing anxiety and overthinking
Navigating intrusive thoughts and OCD patterns
Building emotional regulation and coping skills
Strengthening self-worth and confidence
Making sense of relationship dynamics and patterns
I aim to create a space that feels grounded, nonjudgmental, and comfortable—where you don’t have to filter yourself or have everything figured out.
Background
My experience spans both school and clinical settings, which allows me to see the full picture of what people are navigating day-to-day.
As a School Counselor, I work closely with students, families, and educators—supporting adolescents through academic pressure, social challenges, and emotional ups and downs. I’ve developed social-emotional programs, led counseling groups, and provided crisis support when students need it most.
In my clinical work, I provide individual therapy to teens and adults through both telehealth and in-person sessions. I’ve supported clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship stress, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. I also bring a strong understanding of how different environments—family, school, relationships—shape the way we think and feel.
Who I Work With
Teens dealing with school stress, friendships, and identity
Young adults navigating anxiety, relationships, and major life transitions
Adults experiencing burnout, overthinking, or patterns that feel hard to break
Parents are always welcome to reach out if they’re noticing their child struggling or not quite acting like themselves.
What It’s Like to Work Together
A lot of my clients come in feeling like their mind just won’t slow down. You might replay conversations, question yourself, or feel emotionally drained from constantly thinking. Or maybe you’re used to being the “strong” one and aren’t used to letting yourself be supported.
You don’t need to have the right words or a clear starting point. We can begin exactly where you are.
I’ll meet you with warmth, honesty, and curiosity—helping you better understand yourself while also giving you tools you can actually use outside of sessions. My goal is for you to feel more grounded, more confident, and more in control of your thoughts and emotions.
